Put this on in the morning and you’ll have a magnificent dinner! This recipe makes six servings.
Shopping List
3 lb. turkey breast, with the bone
4 cloves of garlic
1 small onion
2 large carrots
2 large celery stalks
Salt and pepper
Dried herbs (sage, rosemary, thyme)
How To
Rinse the turkey breast and place skin side up in the crockpot.
Sprinkle with pepper and dried herbs.
Mince garlic and sprinkle lightly over turkey.
Chop onion in small chunks and spread over the turkey.
Peel and slice carrots and spread over and around turkey.
Chop celery and spread over and around turkey.
Sprinkle veggies with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
Pour 1 cup water into the bottom of the crockpot (not over the top of the food).
Cover and cook on high for 6 hours or low for 9 hours.
Then slice into the thickest part of the turkey and make sure the meat is not pink at all.
Add cooking time if needed.
NOTE: Smaller or larger turkey breasts will need different cooking times; consult a crockpot cooking timetable to determine.
Platter and slice the turkey, spread veggies around the meat. Serve with mashed potatoes and the liquid saved from the crockpot.
